KTK minister gets conditional interim bail in tax evasion case

A special court today granted conditional interim bail to senior Congress leader and Karnataka Minister D K Shivakumar in a tax evasion case. Shivakumar, who was present in the court, and four other accused in the case, have been directed to deposit a bond of Rs 50,000 each. SC to examine whether there should be total ban on firecrackers

The Supreme Court today said it would examine whether there should be a total ban on use of firecrackers as it noted that air pollution reached hazardous proportions during Diwali.
