{"id":9552,"date":"2018-04-23T07:39:26","date_gmt":"2018-04-23T07:39:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dinnews.in\/?p=9552"},"modified":"2018-04-23T07:39:26","modified_gmt":"2018-04-23T07:39:26","slug":"not-a-critic-of-pm-modi-but-will-keep-speaking-my-mind-uddhav-thackeray","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dinnews.in\/?p=9552","title":{"rendered":"Not A Critic Of PM Modi, But Will Keep Speaking My Mind: Uddhav Thackeray"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Shiv Sena president Uddhav&#8221; Thackeray today said he was not a detractor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but&#8221;will always speak up when he doesn&#8217;t approve of something.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am not a critic of Modi, but I will speak on the issues where I don&#8217;t agree (with Modi government&#8217;s decisions),&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ndtvrelcontent\"><\/div>\n<p>Shiv Sena, an ally of the BJP in the Centre and in Maharashtra,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/india-news\/shiv-sena-takes-on-pm-narendra-modis-uk-visit-says-mauni-baba-modi-is-all-talk-abroad-1840859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">continually takes swipes<\/a>\u00a0at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party, especially through its mouthpiece &#8216;Saamana&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the release of a Marathi book, &#8220;Gof&#8221;, penned by Shiv Sena&#8217;s Rajya Sabha MP and &#8216;Saamana&#8217; executive editor Sanjay Raut in Mumbai, Mr Thackeray said his father (late Bal Thackeray) had taught him to speak his mind.<\/p>\n<p>RSS leader Sunil Deodhar, who is credited for the BJP&#8217;s victory in Tripura Assembly elections, was present at the function.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If we come together as Hindus, there will be no division of votes. But if there are differences of opinion and views, then the question arises who is the real Hindu,&#8221; Mr Thackeray said.<\/p>\n<div id=\"checked\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;You (Deodhar) have come back to Maharashtra after 28 years, if you hadn&#8217;t left, this state would have fared better,&#8221; the Sena chief said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You gave your sweat and blood to install a BJP chief minister in Tripura, but what should one do when he makes laughable comments,&#8221; Mr Thackeray said, in an apparent reference to Tripura chief minister Biplab Deb&#8217;s widely reported comment that\u00a0&#8216;Internet existed during the Mahabharat era&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The Sena was the first party to win an election on the issue of Hindutva, Mr Thackeray pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We got our first MLA elected on the issue of Hindutva. Then others realised that Hindutva can be a political plank,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the last 25 years, we had a friendship based on Hindutva. But when &#8216;Achhe Din&#8217; came, the Shiv Sena becomes unwanted. This is what hurts me,&#8221; he said, taking a swipe at the BJP.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Those leaders who created India are no longer there. But there are many who preach.
