DRI seizes about 15 kgs gold smuggled from Myanmar

In one of the biggest hauls, the DRI today seized about 15 kgs gold, worth Rs 4.55 crore, smuggled from Myanmar from the possession of two Manipuri men, according to an official statement. Kerala to use robots to clean sewers, end manual-scavenging

Robots will soon replace men in cleaning up sewer holes in Kerala, ending the age-old practice of manual scavenging in the southern state. ‘Bandicoot’, the robot developed by the startup firm Genrobotics, will be used for cleaning sewer holes.
