वायु प्रदूषण: न्यायालय ने कहा- यह दिल्ली-एनसीआर में करोड़ों लोगों की जिंदगी मौत का सवाल है

उच्चतम न्यायालय ने बुधवार को कहा कि खतरनाक स्तर का वायु प्रदूषण दिल्ली-राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र के करोड़ों लोगों के लिये जिंदगी-मौत का सवाल बन गया है। शीर्ष अदालत ने कहा कि वायु प्रदूषण पर अंकुश लगा पाने में विफल रहने के लिये प्राधिकारियों को ही जिम्मेदार ठहराना होगा। न्यायमूर्ति अरुण मिश्रा और न्यायमूर्ति दीपक गुप्ता की पीठ ने सवाल किया, ‘‘क्या आप लोगों को प्रदूषण की वजह से इसी तरह मरने देंगे। क्या आप देश को सौ साल पीछे जाने दे सकते हैं?’’ पीठ ने कहा, ‘‘हमें इसके लिये सरकार…
