Leading exchange BSE has revised the circuit limit for the shares of eight companies to curb excessive volatility in their prices. The firms are Orient Paper & Industries, Shah Foods, Aishwarya Telecom, Amba Enterprises, Lancer Container Lines, Meera Industries, Master Trust and Uniroyal Marine Exports. The new limits, effective tomorrow, will ensure stock prices do not fluctuate beyond a prescribed level during a session. Four police personnel, including two sub-inspectors, were killed and seven others injured in a gun-fight with Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district today, police said. The Supreme Court today refused to modify its earlier order which had cleared the decks for the nationwide release of ‘Padmaavat’, saying people must understand that orders of the top court have to be “abided with”.
