Rupee rebounds 18 paise to 70.71 against USD in early trade

The rebounded by 18 paise to 70.71 against the US dollar in early trade on Thursday, a day after the Reserve Bank of India cut the key interest rate by 35 basis points. Govt receives 400 suggestions from stakeholders on proposed tenancy law

Law which allowed circulation of Rs 1000 notes in 1999 scrapped

  A law which allowed the Reserve Bank of India to circulate Rs 1000 denomination notes to tide over the shortage of currency in the late 1990s has been scrapped.
