सिक्किम को सर्वश्रेष्ठ नीतियों के लिए मिला एफएओ पुरस्कार

खाद्य एवं कृषि संगठन (एफएओ) ने कृषि तंत्र और सतत खाद्य प्रणालियों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सिक्कम को ‘‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ नीतियों का ऑस्कर’’ पुरस्कार दिया है। सिक्कम भारत का पहला ऐसा राज्य है जहां ‘‘पूर्णत: यानि 100 प्रतिशत जैविक कृषि’’ की जाती है। एक बयान के मुताबिक पूर्वोत्तर के इस राज्य ने 25 देशों की 51 नामित नीतियों को पीछे छोड़ते हुए पुरस्कार जीता। ब्राजील, डेनमार्क और क्विटो (इक्वाडोर) ने रजत पुरस्कार जीते।
